POWER STATEMENT

“A church that stands firm is not built on extraordinary circumstances — it is built on ordinary faithfulness practiced together over time.”

TWO WORDS TO CARRY

Endurance — the ability to keep going and stay   ____________________  , not just to survive.

#1) A Standing-Firm Church Honors Its ____________________   (vv. 12–13)

• Paul identifies leaders by their function, not their title — those who labor, lead, and ____________________  .

#2) A Standing-Firm Church Handles Its People ____________________   (vv. 14–15)

• The idle (ataktos, “out of ranks”) need firm and loving ____________________  . Silence is not love.

THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Name one person who is idle, one who is fainthearted, and one who is weak. Do one concrete thing for each of them this week — make the call, send the message, bring the meal, show up. Not a prayer from a comfortable distance. Something they can actually feel.

QUESTIONS TO SIT WITH

1. Which leader at Sinai will you honor this week — and how, specifically?
2. Rate yourself 1–10: rejoicing ____________________   prayer   ____________________   gratitude   ____________________  . Which is lowest? What one habit starts this week?
3. Am I more likely to quench the Spirit through control, or to skip discernment through uncritical acceptance?
4. Twenty years of unchanged Christianity is one year repeated nineteen times. Where have I actually grown this year?
