1) OPEN BORDERS

2) SEPARATION OF CHURCH & STATE

A) The Hebrew Midwives

Exodus 1:15-21 NLT

Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah: “When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.

So the king of Egypt called for the midwives. “Why have you done this?” he demanded. “Why have you allowed the boys to live?”

“The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women,” the midwives replied. “They are more vigorous and have their babies so quickly that we cannot get there in time.”

So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

• We must resist the government when they tell us to do something that goes against God’s character.

B) Daniel’s Friends (Daniel 3)

Daniel 3:12 NLT

But there are some Jews—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—whom you have put in charge of the province of Babylon. They pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They refuse to serve your gods and do not worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Daniel 3:15 NLT

I will give you one more chance to bow down and worship the statue I have made when you hear the sound of the musical instruments. But if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be able to rescue you from my power?”

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

• Our nation is founded on the concept of religious liberty to keep people from being forced to violate their religious consciences.
• ”Separation of church & state” was not about the church staying away from the state but rather the state to stay away from the church.
• We are called to resist evil that comes against the welfare of the people.

3) GENDER MOVEMENT

Genesis 1:27 ESV

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Psalm 139:14 ESV

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

• The truth is that we are all born spiritually dead… in a fallen sinful state.
• God has decided to make two genders. That is His perfect plan for all of us. You cannot choose your gender.
• To support this ideology is to call God a liar, to rebel against His perfect order, to erode the family, and to contribute to mental illness instead of helping people with the only Truth that can set them free.

4) MODERN FAMILY

5) REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

Scientific fact: Life begins at conception.

• Do not be deceived by the deceiver… to abort a baby is to end an innocent life.

• We must pray for the welfare of everyone! We have a responsibility to get involved in the welfare of our city. If all believers would get involved by voting according to Godly, Biblical convictions, we can change things for the welfare of all people.
